Initial reaction:

A dark swarm of crows and vampires descending on the Highlands.

From the shadows:

In Soho’s Welsh Church, a former nightclub, the space filled with the sound of the Bauhaus track “Bela Lugosi's Dead” – the club scene soundtrack from David Bowie eighties vampire film The Hunger – disconcerting and trippy. Gaunt and hollow eyed models appeared with black feathers tangled in matted hair.

Legacy:

In continual homage to Lee McQueen, a subtle and soft grey tartan crept across heavy belted trenches, suit jackets and wool coats, before rupturing into an unexpected pale pink and purist white.

Stand out looks:

The three-piece suits – jacket, trousers, kilt – in monochrome tartan; villain leather trenches and sheepskin lined coats; the gold zips which intersected charcoal kilts and cardigans.

Playing mind games:

Pure white angular prints on sweaters and coats were surrealist and reminiscent of optical illusion paintings. Embroidered text scrawled across wool coats in the same dark navy, charcoal and black concealed surprising messages: ‘peace’.
